The Banff Center for Arts and Creativity lives its vision to inspire artists and leaders to make a unique contribution to society through its annual Mountain Film Festival, a competition among many, many aspiring and innovative filmmakers. In 1986, Banff began sharing the talents and film products of these mountain filmmakers participating in that year's festival with a larger community, starting with visits to 3 cities in Canada to now over 450 sites on a world tour.
