TODAY, JULY 16th, 2021 | Fly Fishing Film Tour. Proceeds from this event go to healthy and happy fish in Clear Creek. The 15th annual Fly Fishing Film Tour is hitting the road with a net full of amazing films. This year’s official selections include some of the most exciting, story-driven pieces that are sure to get you on the water. With unforgettable storytelling that spans the globe—from the remote wilds of Eastern Russia to the Guyana rainforest, the flats of French Polynesia, and all the way to Utah’s Flaming Gorge and Bimini, this year’s film tour is sure to feed your fishing addiction. JULY 15th-31st, 2021 | Annual Yampa Headwaters Fishing Fundraiser and Poker Run. The Annual Yampa Headwaters Fishing Fundraiser and Poker Run is back for the second year! (With a few slight changes…) Due to low season flows, we have made the decision to move the event up earlier so everyone can participate in this annual event year after year. Get out there, enjoy the mountains and the headwaters in the Yampa Basin, catch some feisty high elevation fish, do it with friends, collect poker cards, and win some amazing prizes. JULY 19th-21st, 2021: American Water Resources Association (AWRA) 2021 Land and Water Policy Specialty Conference | Denver. The 2021 Summer Specialty Conference will bring together stakeholders from various types of organizations and professions across multiple disciplines to address the design, integration, and implementation of the programs and research necessary to improve the connection of land and water planning and policy. JULY 22nd-25th, 2021 | Arapahoe County Fair. The first Arapahoe County Fair was held in 1906, along the banks of the South Platte River within present day Littleton. The Fair is one of Arapahoe County's longest-standing community traditions. The County Fair has travelled to various locations including Deer Trail, Byers, Englewood and Littleton. The current location of the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds was commemorated in July of 2006, marking the 100th anniversary of the Fair. The Fair continues to showcase the County's agricultural and western heritage through 4-H programming, traditional agricultural activities and entertainment. For the price of your admission you can also enjoy carnival rides, daily motorsports, canine entertainment, a petting farm and numerous other activities. Volunteers are also needed! JULY 27th, 2021 | Water Fluency | Water Education Colorado. The Water Fluency program offers immersion in the language of water as well as tools for navigating the culture, complexity, and future of water management and policy issues. Water intersects all issues that communities are facing. Water is crucial for the economy, tourism, public health, and the environment—but it isn’t always clear how the decisions made on water trickle down to affect other sectors. AUGUST 14th, 2021 | Colorado River Cleanup | RiversEdge West. Join RiversEdge West and the Grand Valley Paddling Club for their 17th Annual Colorado River Cleanup on August 14, 2021! The Colorado River Cleanup is an on-the-water cleanup where trash collected on the banks is floated downriver to the takeout and then disposed of. This is not only a time when tires and couches are pulled from the river banks, but also a time to raise awareness and stewardship for our rivers. Click HERE for more information.

SEPTEMBER 8th-10th, 2021 | Yampa Basin Rendezvous. Warming temperatures and rising snowlines pose serious risks to the boreal, alpine, and riverine ecosystems of the Yampa River Basin. How are we, as a community, measuring the existing seasonal variability and adapting to manage the impacts of current and expected seasonal changes? SEPTEMBER 9th, 2021 | 15th Annual President’s Reception | WEco. Gather for an evening of celebration, networking, and awards as we honor water leadership and raise money for our work. Enjoy dinner and a fun-filled evening in celebration of the best in Colorado water. This year’s event will take place in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual ticket options. SEPTEMBER 21st, 2021 | RiverBank 2021. Join in celebration at The Denver Botanic Gardens for RiverBank. Colorado Water Trust’s annual fundraiser to restore flows to Colorado rivers in need. This is a fun-filled evening of food, drinks, silent auction, and a presentation of the David Getches Flowing Water Award. Click HERE for more information and to register for this event.

SEPTEMBER 25th-OCTOBER 3rd, 2021 | Creek Week Cleanup. The Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control and Greenway District and its many partners will host the 8th Annual Creek Week in the Fountain Creek Watershed and beyond. This 9-day effort provides opportunities for volunteers to directly engage in improving the health of the watershed through cleanups, forest health projects, fundraisers and more.
