OCTOBER 5th-7th, 2021 | Sustaining Colorado Watersheds Conferences: Together Like Never Before. AUGUST 5th, 2021, 1:15 pm MDT | Water With Your Lunch | Colorado River District. Join the Colorado River District for a lunch-hour Zoom webinar focusing on rapidly declining water levels in Lake Powell and on the impacts of prolonged drought on West Slope water users. Discussion topics will include the longtime overuse of the Colorado River by Lower Basin states; the day-to-day effects of a 21-year drought on Western Colorado soil and stream conditions; and how past policy decisions impacted operations on the Colorado River. Finally, panelists will highlight their unique perspectives on how the current hydrological conditions and future policy decisions could affect the future of the Colorado River Compact. AUGUST 7th, 2021 | Meeker Bike Tour Ag & Water Conservation. Join the Douglas Creek/ White River Conservation District August 7th as they bike a few miles to discuss the importance of agriculture irrigation, the local aquifer, and municipal water.  You will hear from ranchers, water managers, the Town of Meeker, and past President of Colorado Cattlemen’s Association about how water is used in Rio Blanco County. AUGUST 14th, 2021 | Colorado River Cleanup | RiversEdge West. Join RiversEdge West and the Grand Valley Paddling Club for their 17th Annual Colorado River Cleanup on August 14, 2021! The Colorado River Cleanup is an on-the-water cleanup where trash collected on the banks is floated downriver to the takeout and then disposed of. This is not only a time when tires and couches are pulled from the river banks, but also a time to raise awareness and stewardship for our rivers. Click HERE for more information.

AUGUST 21st, 2021, 10 am - 8pm | Colorado Watershed Assembly Benefit Party. On Saturday, August 21st, the Lakewood and surrounding communities are gathering at Green Mountain Beer Company for a benefit fundraiser for the Colorado Watershed Assembly and Colorado Healthy Rivers Fund (CHRF). This event will help us raise money for important watershed clean-up activities throughout Colorado. Expect an exclusive beer release, Food Trucks, Games, A silent Auction, and a dunk tank to drop your favorite beertenders and managers into cold water! For more information click HERE.

AUGUST 26th, 2021, 8:45 am- 4:30 pm | 2021 Colorado Stormwater Symposium. The Colorado Stormwater Center is proud to host the 2021 Colorado Stormwater Symposium, sponsored by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Our focus this year is on the following topics: Fire Impacts on Water Quality, Green Infrastructure in Action, and Innovative Stormwater Education and Training. AUGUST 28th, 2021 | River Clean Up | Blue River Watershed Group. River flows are projected to be 50% of average. Now more than ever, river habitat needs our help to ensure contaminants stay out of the water. Your participation as a volunteer or contribution as a sponsor proves you are an advocate for healthy waterways and riparian habitat. SEPTEMBER 8th-10th, 2021 | Yampa Basin Rendezvous. Warming temperatures and rising snowlines pose serious risks to the boreal, alpine, and riverine ecosystems of the Yampa River Basin. How are we, as a community, measuring the existing seasonal variability and adapting to manage the impacts of current and expected seasonal changes? SEPTEMBER 21st, 2021 | RiverBank 2021. Join in celebration at The Denver Botanic Gardens for RiverBank. Colorado Water Trust’s annual fundraiser to restore flows to Colorado rivers in need. SEPTEMBER 25th-OCTOBER 3rd, 2021 | Creek Week Cleanup. The Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control and Greenway District and its many partners will host the 8th Annual Creek Week in the Fountain Creek Watershed and beyond. This 9-day effort provides opportunities for volunteers to directly engage in improving the health of the watershed through cleanups, forest health projects, fundraisers and more.
