The scholarship application for River Rally 2024 is open. Thanks to generous supporters, River Network is able to provide financial assistance for more water, justice, and river advocates to attend River Rally! Support will range from partial to full registration support, with additional assistance for travel and lodging based on need. Applications will be accepted through February 8, 2024.

The Community Navigator Program (CNP) is a program funded by the USFS and launched in 2023 to support underserved communities in finding and accessing federal funding and partnership support. The Community Navigator Fellowship Program is designed to be a one (1) year fellowship opportunity for early-career professionals to gain career exposure, professional development, and to conduct critical outreach to communities the Community Navigator Program intends to serve. CNP Fellows will be selected from applicants who submit their application prior to the February 9, 2024 deadline. Applicants will be contacted by CNP staff for a formal interview. Final selection will be made Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Priority will be given to applicants who are able to attend all meetings and meet all deadlines. You can also apply for a scholarship here.

Colorado WaterWise welcomes you to submit a session abstract for the 2024 Annual Water Conservation Symposium. Submissions are due by March 1, 2024. The committee will review submissions and notify individuals in April. If you have questions, please email admin@coloradowaterwise.org.

As Coloradans continue to live in the face of climate change, CWCB is involved in many efforts to identify and explore solutions to water challenges. On January 8, the Colorado Climate Center at Colorado State University published the 3rd edition of the Climate Change in Colorado report. CWCB staff oversaw the execution of the report—completing peer review, planning stakeholder events, and more. The report combines and synthesizes relevant climate science information to help inform future management and planning of the state’s water resources.

The Babbitt Center released a new report, Agriculture in the Colorado River Basin States: Challenges and Implications for the Future. This detailed report features interviews with farmers and ranchers throughout the Colorado River Basin, who discuss their challenges and concerns regarding future water use and management. The Colorado Watershed Assembly will be transferring administration of the Colorado Data Sharing Network in 2024.Please refer to the website: http://www.coloradowaterdata.org for updates and information.  The Colorado Data Sharing Network is managed by the Colorado Water Quality Monitoring Council providing an accessible and affordable tool kit for data management, data analysis, and data sharing.  The Colorado Data Sharing Network is currently helping over 70 different data organizations manage, share, and analyze more than 5.4 million water quality results at over 25,000 monitoring locations throughout Colorado.
